HDTV an environmental hazard?

Is the new HDTV a new pollution to our environment?

Came across the article. It's not confirmed in which way it pollutes, but it does bring hazard.




That's the one claimed to responsible. It's Nitrogen Trifluoride (NF₃).

It's said to be 17,000 times better than CO₂ when it comes to trapping heat in the atmosphere. Is it true? Well, i don't know myself. The article said it's emitted by the TV while comments say it's produced during the production of the TV.
