SRS Audio Sandbox

This will be my first and foremost post. SRS Audio Sandbox is quite a useful utitily for those who cant afford expensive audio cards such as x-fidelity. This helps to improve the sound greatly. I've tried it and i'm quite impressed with it. Theres a lot of tweaks available to get the sound you want. Well, it isnt free. But try it out, and you'll be amazed by what it is capable of. Just one dissapointment though, it doesnt work great with 4.1's or 5.1's. I feel that it works more effectively with stereo speakers (2.0).

Here's a few screens of what you can do with the software ;)

Change the settings to fit your needs. They all sound just slightly different from each other except for Voice which is more noticeable in terms of how the sounds are manipulated to bring out the Voice in the song (duh) :) There's also settings below (the blue tabs) which u can adjust to get your desired sound. Its amazing how you can add bass to your speakers to make it sound like some subwoofer.

This is for those who prefers to not go through the hassle to changing the settings to their liking everytime the program is started.. After playing around, u might want to save your preffered equalizer as a new preset. A convenient feature.

No need to explain here. Set that speaker configuration to how many speakers that are plugged into your rig.

Well, I find that this isn't a great feature. (might look like though) TruSurround XT option give you a sound that is too trebble-ishy. While circle-surround sounds weird. WOW HD sounds the best i must say :)
I havent tried Headphone 360 so i cant really comment on it.

If you decide to try it out, dont forget to change your sound settings to select SRS Audio Sandbox as your default device for sounds!

Here's the official web of the SRS Audio Sandbox , you can buy the software from that site. I believe the latest version is 1.9.0.4

Click here to grab a 14-day trial of the software.

Software Rating 7.5/10
